Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms & Conditions explain the terms that apply when you use the Tikvah Training and Consultancy Ltd. website or purchase and access our online training courses.
By purchasing a course or using our online training services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About us
Tikvah Training and Consultancy Ltd. (“Tikvah Training”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the provider of the training services available through this website.
Registered office:

2. Our online courses
We provide online training courses relating to domestic abuse awareness, professional response, safeguarding and organisational practice.
The courses currently available include:
• Course 1 – Domestic Abuse Awareness Training for the Workplace
• Course 2 – Professional Advocacy: Safeguarding Response to Domestic Abuse
• Course 3 – Policies, Procedures and Organisational Practice
• Complete Tikvah Training Pathway
Course content, learning objectives, course requirements and prices are described on the relevant course or programme page before purchase.
We may update course content from time to time to keep our training accurate, relevant and up to date. Any changes will not materially reduce the course that you have already purchased.
3. Who our courses are for
Our courses are educational and professional training resources.
The course descriptions identify the intended audience for each course. Customers should choose the course or pathway appropriate to their role and training needs.
Completion of a Tikvah Training course does not, by itself, qualify a learner to provide specialist domestic abuse, safeguarding, legal, therapeutic or other professional services unless the course specifically states otherwise.
Our courses should not be treated as a substitute for an organisation’s own policies, procedures, safeguarding arrangements, professional standards or specialist advice.
4. Purchasing a course
Before purchasing, you will be shown information about the course, its price and the available payment options.
You are responsible for checking that the information you provide when placing an order is accurate.
A contract between you and Tikvah Training is formed when your order has been accepted and payment has been successfully processed.
We will provide confirmation of your purchase electronically.
If we are unable to accept your order, for example because of a technical problem or an obvious pricing error, we will contact you and refund any payment that has been taken.
5. Prices and payment
Course prices are displayed on our website at the time of purchase.
Payment is processed through Wix Payments.
The price payable is the price displayed at the time you place your order, subject to any clearly stated offer, discount or promotional code.
We reserve the right to change the prices of courses before you purchase them. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted.
6. Access to courses
After successful purchase and registration, you will receive access to the course through your Tikvah Training account.
Course access is intended for the individual learner who purchased or was enrolled on the course, unless a corporate or organisational arrangement specifically provides otherwise.
You must not share your account login details or provide another person with access to a course purchased for your individual use.
We may restrict or suspend access where there is reasonable evidence of unauthorised account sharing, misuse of the course or other serious breach of these Terms.
7. Course completion and certificates
Where a course includes assessments or completion requirements, these will be explained within the course.
A certificate of completion may be issued when the stated course requirements have been successfully completed.
A certificate confirms completion of the relevant Tikvah Training course. It does not represent a professional qualification, licence or accreditation unless expressly stated on the relevant course page.
8. Intellectual property
All course materials provided by Tikvah Training, including written content, presentations, graphics, assessments, videos, downloadable materials, logos and other resources, are owned by or licensed to Tikvah Training and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Your purchase gives you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to access and use the course for your own learning purposes.
You must not, without our written permission:
• Copy or reproduce substantial parts of the course
• Share course materials with people who have not purchased or been authorised to access them
• Sell, redistribute or commercially exploit course materials
• Upload course materials to another website or platform
• Record or reproduce course content for redistribution
• Remove copyright, branding or other ownership information
These restrictions do not affect any rights you may have under applicable law.
9. Use of course materials by organisations
Where a course is purchased by an organisation for multiple employees or participants, access is limited to the number of learners agreed as part of the purchase.
An organisation must not provide access to additional learners without purchasing the appropriate additional licences or agreeing an alternative arrangement with Tikvah Training.
Corporate training arrangements may be subject to additional written terms agreed between the organisation and Tikvah Training.
10. Customer accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and maintaining the security of your login details.
You should contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect the security of our website, other customers or our services.
11. Website availability
We aim to keep our website and online training platform available and operating reliably.
However, we cannot guarantee that the website or online courses will always be available without interruption.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical problems, internet or hosting issues, security incidents or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a significant technical problem prevents you from accessing a course you have purchased, please contact us so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, restore access or provide another appropriate remedy.
12. Educational information and professional responsibility
Our training provides educational information and practical guidance based on the course content and its stated objectives.
Domestic abuse and safeguarding situations can be complex and individual circumstances differ.
Completion of a course does not replace professional judgement, organisational safeguarding procedures, specialist advice or emergency services where these are required.
Learners remain responsible for following the policies, procedures and professional requirements applicable to their own role and organisation.
13. Your legal rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Where digital content or services do not conform to the contract, applicable consumer law may provide you with rights or remedies.
We will comply with applicable consumer protection legislation.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
14. Cancellation and refunds
Your cancellation and refund rights are explained in our separate Refund, Cancellation & Digital Content Policy.
These rights include any statutory rights that apply to purchases made online.
Because our courses are digital content provided online, specific rules apply when course access begins immediately after purchase.
Where you choose to receive immediate access to digital course content, by ticking the Terms & Conditions checkbox and completing your purchase, you expressly request that the digital content is supplied immediately and acknowledge that, where permitted by law, you may lose your statutory right to cancel once supply begins.
The applicable cancellation arrangements will be explained before or at the point of purchase.
15. Customer complaints
If you have a concern about a course, purchase, account or our services, please contact us first.
We will consider your complaint fairly and aim to resolve issues as quickly as reasonably possible.
Contact: Tikvahtraining@gmail.com
16. Corporate training and organisational bookings
Organisations may contact us to discuss training for groups of employees or other participants.
Corporate training arrangements may include:
• Multiple learner licences
• Training packages
• Bespoke requirements
• Agreed learner numbers
• Organisation-specific arrangements
Any specific corporate arrangements agreed in writing will form part of the agreement between the organisation and Tikvah Training.
17. Events outside our reasonable control
We will not be responsible for a failure or delay in providing services where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
This may include significant technical failures, disruption to internet or hosting services, cyber incidents, natural events, changes in law or other circumstances that could not reasonably have been prevented.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and restore services where possible.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version applying to your purchase will normally be the version available when you place your order.
Where changes are necessary for legal, regulatory or operational reasons, the updated version will be published on our website.
19. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law applicable in Northern Ireland.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory legal rights you may have under the law applicable to you.
